Astrophotography

I really found myself at home once I discovered astrophotography. The night sky has always drawn me. I have many memories of being a little kid sitting with my parents on the back deck of our Colorado home gazing up at the stars. One of my very first photos with my 2004 canon rebel was of some stars over the 10 mile range. Once I realized I could capture the universe on my camera, I knew that’s where I wanted to focus my photography. It took many cold late nights and frustrating failures, but the results have been well worth it. I’ve worked hard to develop the technique of creating interesting night-scape art work that stays honest to nature. I’m so glad to share the journey and the images with you! If you’re interested in learning how to create work like this, click over to the "contact me" page. Or, if you'd like to see one of these pieces hanging on your wall, head to the "prints" page!
